We’re kicking off Z-arts’ Environment Week with a fantastic family fun day – part of Manchester City of Literature’s Festival of Libraries!
Whether you’re a book lover, nature enthusiast, or both, there’s something for everyone. And of course, we love Libraries.
Tickets include everything listed below – come and make a day of it!
🦇 10:30am – Amara and the Bats
Meet award-winning author-illustrator Emma Reynolds for a fun, interactive session.
Discover Amara and the Bats, a beautifully illustrated story about a young girl passionate about protecting her favourite flying creatures. When Amara learns the bats have disappeared from her new neighbourhood, she rallies her friends to take action. A heartwarming tale of environmental activism, community, and hope – featuring a story reading, bat facts game, adorable plushies, and a draw-along to sketch your own bat friends!
✍️ Book signing after this session!
🎨 11:30am–1:00pm – Drop-in Workshops
Get creative with hands-on activities all morning – explore gardens, wildlife, and green spaces in our fun, family-friendly workshops.
Come along for stories, creativity, and inspiration, as we celebrate the power of nature, books, and community, as part of Manchester City of Literature’s Festival of Libraries week!
This event is low-cost. Z-arts is a charity, and while we are committed to keeping our events and activities affordable, with many offered free of charge, donations are gratefully received. They can be made online when booking a ticket. Thank you!
