Paint Pots For Tots
Every Mon throughout Jul & Aug, 10.30am-12.00pm, Ages 2+
Bring your preschool children down to join in with especially themed art and story sessions in our cafe. Each week is based on a popular children’s book and will end with story time, encouraging little ones to love reading as much as we do! Pigeon Theatre are making a new show ‘Today it is Raining’ and this summer you and your child are invited to come and play with them. These drop in session will explore a different theme from the show: water, bad weather, books about bad weather and

Ahoy There Animation!
Mon 4 to Fri 8 Aug, 10am-1pm, Ages 7-11
Do you love animations and enjoy having a swash buckling time?

Join us for our pirate themed summer art club. You will get to create your own short films, develop skills, meet new friends and be creative with marvellous materials. Over the course of the week we will make characters, build mini sets and write story lines to film to create a mini animation. Animate PAPER, PLASTICINE and more! Come dressed as a pirate on the final day and watch ‘The Pirates- Band of Misfits’ 2012, in our very own cinema screening room! Shiver me timbers! Closing date for applications 28 July. Into Film: 1 day workshops
Mon 11 Aug, 10am-4pm, Ages 6-9
Exciting 1-day filmmaking activity, working with a local filmmaker to develop the essential creative and technical skills involved in making a short film. Working in small groups you’ll be introduced to using cameras and audio equipment, guided through the pre and post-production processes and will script, shoot and edit your own film short . Between EU & Me
Sat 26 Jul, 11am-1pm, Ages 11+
Join writer, poet and performer Adam Lowe (English PEN) this summer for a workshop which gives young people from 15 countries across Europe a chance to speak out on the important issues facing them today. If you’ve a passion for the written and spoken word then this is a brilliant opportunity to have your work published online and get your name out there. Your contribution to this workshop will be a valued part of the wider project concluding in December. Sign up now

 

Funny Bones Comedy Workshop

Do you think you’re funny? Join comedian Emma Kennedy on this 5 day workshop to find out. Over the week you’ll discover comedy and drama techniques to improve your skills as a comedian. Video Nation feat. Allsorts

YouTube is the new radio and this summer we’re making music videos to help you stand out from the crowd, work with our in-house youth music collective Allsorts and set about racking up those hits. Learn more about making music whilst visualizing, producing, shooting and editing your own video. Digital Storytelling Workshops
