Dance Stars
Reception – Year 2 (ages 4-7)
Thursdays –
In Dance Stars we improve our posture, build stamina, and discover our unique dance style through play and exploration!
Look forward to getting groovy, playing games, and making friends. During this 45-minute class, children will develop their fitness, dance skills, and creativity. Each half term, we work on a dance piece, learn style-specific dance skills, choreograph small-group sections, and build performance skills.
Saturdays –
Look forward to getting groovy, playing games and making friends.
We will be exploring various new dance styles each week to build these skills. These dance styles will include Tap, Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Creative Dance, and so much more. This term we will be learning some foundational tap dance skills alongside our main dance, which we work on weekly. We have some tap shoes, but if you have any at home, please bring them to class.
Thursday 24 and Saturday 26 September
To celebrate Sonrisa Arts’ show Dance in the Dark coming to Z-arts we are inviting our Reception – Year 2 students to come to dance class in their PJ’s!
In this one-off session we will explore our night time routines through movement, play sleep themed games and create our own slumber party dances.
