Z-arts is a place to express yourself, to celebrate your imagination, to have fun, be entertained, and dream big! So, whatever your age and whether you’re coming to see a show or make some amazing mini-masterpieces in one of our arts workshops, we hope you enjoy your visit to Z-arts and are inspired by your own creativity.
We believe that theatre and the arts are for everyone! They are inspiring, immersive, and magical, and we want to share the joy of creativity, imagination, and storytelling with children and families in Greater Manchester and beyond.
Creative learning and education are at the heart of what we do. We work closely with schools and education practitioners to bring learning to life with the arts.
As an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation (NPO), we are strategically funded by Manchester City Council to lead in best practice for creative engagement with children, young people, and families. We take a leadership role across a variety of networks to make this happen.
At Z-arts, we offer a wide variety of performing arts events, family theatre, immersive experiences, storytelling sessions, workshops, and plenty of free activities – including creative classes designed especially for families.
Discover our family-friendly escape room, pick your next favourite story in our beautiful Children’s Library, enjoy tasty treats at Z-café, and find pocket-money-friendly goodies in our Gift Shop. We also do Birthday Parties!
We’re passionate about supporting artists, nurturing long-term relationships with creatives dedicated to making outstanding, diverse theatre for children that truly reflects the communities we serve. We especially champion work that involves children’s voices in the research, development, and creation process.
