An important update from Z-arts (Thursday 26 March 2020)

Due to the measures introduced by the government to try to halt the spread of COVID-19, including reducing social contact, and banning gatherings in places including restaurants and theatres. After discussion, we have decided to keep our doors closed to the public until Thursday 30 April, and will be reviewing this on a weekly basis.

There are also certain shows outside of this time period that can no longer go ahead, including those from international companies, due to restrictions on travel.

We have unfortunately had to cancel the shows The Twisted Tale of Hansel and Gretel, INUK and Chores as well as our Easter holiday workshops. We will also be rescheduling Teach Rex presents Myths & Legends: Dragons.

What does this mean for Z-arts?

We have been humbled by the amount of support we have received from our community and customers over our closure period so far, which is helping us to get through these difficult times. We’re currently trying to assess how we can stay afloat in one of the most challenging periods we have faced in our history, whilst at the same time supporting our staff and all of the children we work with. The longer the closure continues, the more difficult it becomes to cover our losses.

It means that we won’t be able to bring the innovative theatre for children from abroad that we love to bring to Hulme this season, but we hope to reschedule these shows in the future, when it’s safe for international companies to travel, and for you to come and see their brilliant work!

We will  be looking to continue to inspire and engage children through other means and are creating exciting digital content which we’re sharing across our social media platforms and on our website in our Things To Do at Home section, so keep an eye out for this and stay in touch!

Refunds and Rebooking

We know that this is a difficult time for everyone, and will be offering full refunds. However, if you are able to, we would really appreciate it if, in these uncertain times, you would look to getting a credit note for a future show or even consider donating the cost of your ticket to us. We realise that this is a big ask, but as a small registered charity, every penny matters to us.

To allow us to process your request, please email boxoffice@z-arts.org, stating your full name, the date and time of the show or event you have booked onto and letting us know whether you would like to make a donation (including whether you would like to include Gift Aid), change the booking to a credit or have a full refund.

Thank you all so much for your continued support. Stay safe.
