‘Ignition’ – Celebrating International Women’s Day in Hulme

This Thursday we celebrate International Women’s Day, and to mark the occasion organisations in Hulme are coming together for Ignition – an afternoon of workshops and activities that are aimed at engaging and empowering females. Some of the Z-arts team will be there for a Q&A!

The Q&A focuses on women in the arts and is an opportunity for the local community to find out about local arts networks, Z-Arts, arts opportunities in Hulme, and the personal experiences of our staff members.  It is a chance for people to ask questions about us and, most importantly, about opportunities and career experience of women in the arts.

We want to inspire and encourage local girls and women to consider the arts and to open new conversations with the community about the power of art.

On the panel are:

Yemi – Engagement Officer and Volunteer Co-ordinator
Gill – Assistant Creative Manager + VA
Rebecca – Arts graduate and Arts Administrator
Tsana – Singer, mother and music leader
Ellie – Theatre Technician

The Z-arts Q&A will be taking place from 4-5pm.

Join us at Ignition, an event that hopes to bring the community closer together.
