Michael Rosen’s exhibition Bear Hunt, Chocolate Cake and Bad Things brings the authors well-loved stories and poems to life. Led by experienced storytellers, the exhibition tour is designed to be an interactive exploration, taking the children on a journey through the secret larder, swishy-swashy river and enormous chocolate cake! Whilst immersed in the playful experience, children are given opportunities to discuss plot and recite parts of Michael Rosen’s poems and stories.

This exhibition is one of the most exciting things to have happened in my writing career… I am so looking forward to it.” – Michael Rosen

To complement the exhibition experience, school groups can also book on to a 1 hr creative workshop where key themes from the experience and Michael Rosen’s writing are explored through visual arts, drama and movement, creative writing or music. Themes that run across all the workshops are; poetry, performance, journeys, and the senses.

Children in Key Stage 1 and 2 can complete Discover or Explore Arts Awards through the Bear Hunt, Chocolate Cake and Bad Things exhibition tour, workshop and post-visit activities (additional cost of £4 per child for Discover and £12 for Explore.)
