Arts Award

Z-arts is an Arts Award Centre that offers a range of activities to support your pupils to gain a nationally accredited qualification.

Discover and Explore Arts Awards are available to young people aged four and upwards. The awards are designed to encourage students on a personal journey of creative discovery. Z-arts can deliver Arts Awards as an inclusive package with a class of 30 pupils, or support students who are undertaking the scheme in school.

Additionally, we offer Discover and Explore Arts Award packs throughout the year which link to our Big Imaginations theatre programme. These packs include simple pre and post visit activity which has been designed to provide opportunities for students to complete their Arts Award qualification in response to a Z-arts theatre production.

Students aged 11yrs and older can work to achieve Bronze, Silver or Gold qualifications through tailored activity in school or through extra-curricular activity. The awards support the development of creative skills and understanding, as well as encouraging the development of leadership skills and confidence. At Gold level, Arts Award includes 35 UCAS points.

We can support individual students working towards Silver or Gold Arts Award through our Work Experience offer.

Teachers in primary and secondary schools can train to become Arts Award advisors in order to set up and delivery their own Arts Award programmes with students. Z-arts is able to offer advice and support to schools who are setting up or moderating an Arts Award programme for the first time.
