BiZycle week, Monday 12 – Saturday 17 June

Part of Children’s Art Week 2017

All ages welcome

Children’s well-being is at the heart of everything we do here at Z-arts – we just make sure we have a lot of fun doing it!  So from Monday 12 – Saturday 17 June we will be combining Children’s Art Week with Bike Week and going cycling silly.

Throughout the week all our usual sessions will follow our BiZycle theme (think street dancing to bicycle songs and arts workshops making hi-vis accessories).

Bicycle Families

On Saturday the 17th at 10.30am and 12pm children and their families are invited into the gallery space to take part in  Z-arts’ very own experimental action painting.  Yes, you guessed it, we’ll be cycling through paint!  Mark-making on a massive scale, the gallery floor will become one big drawing – let’s see what amazing patterns we can create together with tyres, paint and movement!

Free Bike Health Checks

Children who cycle to Z-arts on the Saturday will be able to book a free bicycle health check with one of our amazing bike maintenance volunteers who will be on-site oiling chains, checking brakes and flagging up any other bike issues our young cyclists need to be aware of.

Times for this will be confirmed shortly.

Taking Part

If you don’t already have a bike, then don’t worry, you will still be able to join in the activities and learn more about cycling.
