BiZycle week, Monday 12 – Saturday 17 June

Part of Children’s Art Week 2017 and The Big Bike Revival

All ages welcome

Children’s well-being is at the heart of everything we do here at Z-arts – we just make sure we have a lot of fun doing it!  So from Monday 12 – Saturday 17 June we will be combining Children’s Art Week with Bike Week and going cycling silly.

Throughout the week all our usual sessions will follow our BiZycle theme (think street dancing to bicycle songs and arts workshops making hi-vis accessories).

Bicycle Families – Saturday 17 June

We have a fun day of bike themed activities and we will be welcoming like-minded bike nuts to join us!

Starting from 10.30am and in partnership with Manchester Bike Hire there will be a  fleet of cargo bikes, trailers, and kids bikes in the park for you families to have a try out. As well as trying out their bikes, you can also bring your own bike down for a free Dr Bike health check where they’ll be offering basic brake and gear adjustments as well as puncture repairs. Free to join and no booking required.

Or book on to our crazy bike art activity at 10.30am and 12pm. Children and their families are invited into the gallery space to take part in  Z-arts’ very own experimental action painting.  Yes, you guessed it, we’ll be cycling through paint!  Mark-making on a massive scale, the gallery floor will become one big drawing – let’s see what amazing patterns we can create together with tyres, paint and movement!
